BTW HS was located on Sunnyside Street from 1915 to 1937. This location then became D.W. Davis Elementary school.

BTW HS was relocated from Sunnyside Street to West Johnson Street, and was an active high school from 1937 to 1966. The building now serves as the Community Center and has been declared a Virginia Landmark and also placed on the National Historic Registry.
